I'm thinking about these two cases.
Is the Noreve Case worth the extra money?
The only difference is that Noreve is better quality leather and you can hide a SD-card in it?
Wich one would you buy? [smile]

what is the prices (with shipping) for each one?
if there is like $10 difference, i'd get the noreve - high quality case to go with high-quality device
if there is like $25 difference, i'd get the other one
I have an F2 case from Noreve, its just perfect and such a high quality, they take care of the smaller details that are so important, a quality player deserves a quality case.
@spiccolli: the difference in my country is about 20 dollars. (we have euro's)
@martyn7: You are right about the quility details. I've seen photo's of iaudio and noreve and the noreve had a better finishing touch.

For me, leather is not an option because I exercise with my player and I sweat all over it. The leather will get all gummy and moldy [cry]
If I didn't exercise with it, I'd probably go with a tan-colored Noreve case. It looks great!
The card holder was the deal breaker for me, 4gb d2 with one 8gb card in the d2 and the other 8gb in the holder, im carrying 20gb (all my music) with me.

I like the crystal case better because it shows off the device. It dosen't conseal it like the noreve case.

does the crystal case protect the screen or just the body?
i would have to go with the clear case its more versatile than the leather ones plus you get to show off the D2 to non D2 owners haaahahahah[thumbsup] excellent against CRAPPOD owners....heeeee[laugh]
Does the noreve case have a clear film that covers screen? Its hard to tell by the pictures of these cases.
Neither case has a cover over the screen area, although the flap on the Noreve case covers the screen when it's closed.

Exactly! I own three Noreve cases (for three different players) and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. (I bought a white one for my D2, and I'm thinking about another color.)
I found an interesting Case for the D2 in Europe, I hope this one becomes available in the united states because it looks to work with armbands and its a nice case. Here are some pictures

Looks nice, how much would it be in US dollars?
26,40 EUR 31,95 EUR W/out and with VAT? I assume thats tax or shipping idk, but last exchange rate I remember $1 US = .9 Euro although its probably changed quite a bit by now.
Those pictures are the original Iaudio leather case. Don't you have those in the U.S.?
I started this treath cuse i was hesitating between this one and the one from noreve.
I bought this one cuse its cheaper here in europe and i will only occasionally put the case on the d2. So noreve to expensive for my purpose.
What is that little leather thingie attached to the case? Am I guessing right saying that you can keep an SD card in it?
thats for the stylus... seems not very usefull imho..
We don't have it in the US, they say that they should be in (www.jetmall.net) by the end of the month, The only case we can get is the Noreve (to my knowlege) and I thought the pouch was for an extra SD card?
The noreve has a pouch for the sd card yes.
But this one from Cowon hasnt one for sd but has that external leather flap for the stylus.
The noreve seems better quality if i look at the pictures.

I thought it was for the stylus as well but that doesnt really make sense because of its shape. A SD card fits in there exactly, a tight fit so it wont fall out or anything. Heres a pic http://img388.imageshack.us/img388/5325/img1369vh1.jpg
For me the cowon case (the one from pictures above) was free when ordering the D2, so I didn't go for the noreve one since it would cost me 40 euros. That one seems nicer though, I don't like how the headphone cord needs to go through the hole in Cowon one. On the other hand, I think I would prefer the magnetic closing instead of the clip closing on the noreve.

Which Case?
I noticed a magnet on the iAudio case.
And from what I know, magnets can damage the screen or battery life.
Is it true that it will?
Has anyone who uses the iAudio case experienced some damage from the magnet?
I have the Noreve case.
I'm loving it, it's very robust and feels like very high quality. It comes in a very fancy box with belt clips, reserve screws for the belt clip, and a nice Noreve-logo button if you don't want the belt clip.
It's worth its money 100%!

i would like to buy the noreve one... anyone knows where to get it in germany / within the eu? (in combination with av cable would be awesome)
A friend of mine who works for AdvancedMp3Players.com told me they are still managing selling the Noreve case.
This is his exact quote:
"Bubblewrap > Noreve.
We get so many faulty Noreve products back it's not even funny."
But it seem the majority of the forum members who ordered Noreve cases for their d2 wasnt that faulty.
But Ill ask him when advancedmp3players.com will start selling it.
they seem to have probs with the case and the av-cable at advancedmp3players... other shops are offering for a long time now. but i wrote a mail and keep you up to date when i have new input
Kammerl the noreve case comes from france.
I have the Cowon leather case for 3 days now. I thought I'd make a tiny review for you all.
Some of you were wondering if it is worth the price: I'd say yes it is.
The material: Genuine Leather of decent quality, it has a finish that makes it a bit shiny and less natural looking but quite water proof/ sweat proof.
The seams: They are alright but not perfect, my case has some smaller irregularities, nothing bad though. The seam is BLACK and not white like on the pictures in this forum.
The case fits perfectly. Especially the screen area is cut out perfectly. The D2 won't slide out by itself if the case is open but it's still easily removable. The opening for the headphones is big enough even for those who have bigger headphones, all buttons are accessible, the mic is free, too.
The little pouch attached to the case is not intended for the stylus like someone told me here. It is for an SD card. I tried it and my SD card had a snug fit. Tight enough not to fall out but loose enough to be easily removed with your fingernail. I use it for my stylus though as I use it from time to time and I don't have a second SD card I'd like to carry around. The stylus fits well and I can reach all of my screen without trouble. The metal clasp used looks a bit cheap in my eyes.
What makes me think about the Noeve case though is that the SD card is inside the flap pressing on your screen when closed. Can that be healthy?
What I really like and I think that is a much better solution than the one of Noeve, is that the flap is closed with a little magnet. The magnetic field from that magnet is not strong and it is static so don't worry about your D2, it won't hurt it at all (I should know, I'm just finishing my master in electronics). The opening and closing of the flap is super easy. It won't open by accident but it also doesn't stick uncomfortably like other magnetic solutions because there's a layer of leather between the magnets. It just kinda, .. works. It works like every case flap should work. Flap, flap.. like opening and closing a motorola razr. I simply love it :D
The only bigger disadvantage of this case is if you want to attach it to your belt. You either have to use that carabiner and your D2 will be dangling from your side or you attach it directly to your belt but then you can't take it off on the go if you want to. A plus is that you can use it with an armband when working out. Even more so as the leather seems to be very sweat resistant.
I like the case and it works perfectly well for me. I absolutely think it's worth it's price.

hmmm i like the noreve case but it makes the D2 look bulky chubby in other words, i prefer the cowon D2 Shield case although noreve case has more durability and would protect the D2 more especially the screen i wouldnt mind it being less bulkier but still its a good case but still would go for the D2 shiled over the noreve case anyday unless made less bulkier than yes[yes] ....but hey my opinion at end of day just counts as a suggestions and depends what others prefer....thankx dudes....enjoy[thumbsup] but thankx jeroenB for the pictures hey dont worry about them being crappy have a look at mine heheheheeee[biggrin] [wink]

The screen is lower than the surrounding, and the square part of the case is adding even more height. The SD card is not thick enough to be touching the screen. Have you actually put a card in the slot and closed it while watching from the side?

I was hesitant to buy that case because of the magnet.
Now to go find one somewhere near me (On vacation in Korea :D)

You can just clean it with some wet piece of cloth. Makes it look very shiney again ;).

I had a question about the armband thing.. How would I be able to attach an armband to it? and where could I purchase a separate armband (in the U.S.)?
.. I use my mp3 players in the gym and I really need to find case with an armband...

Im so STOKED!!!!!!!! I just have to tell someone even if nobody cares, I just bought the Noreve case in Sandy Vintage. That is a pretty big purchase since it was half the cost of the player and Im basically poor. I hope it is badass!!! Im really happy. So the wait begins lol.

guys....i was searching for these cases on amazon and found this silicone case which is really cheap...but i live in india and have no knowledge of online shopping...can someone look up and tell me how much they will charge to ship one of those to india
