I get pretty poor transfer rate with my D2 connected with USB to my laptop.

approx 2.5 Mb/Sec to D2
approx 1 MB/Sec to SD Card 150x in D2

Is this the speed i can expect from the D2 or is there something wrong? If it's the case i guess i shouldn't spent extra cash on the 150x card.

What transfer rates do you get?

cheers

It sounds like you have a 1.1 USB port on your computer. Can you check if that is true? I get alot faster transfer rates on my computers both stationary and laptop.

I get around 30Mb/second to my D2's internal memory. Sometimes, when I am transfering a lot of files at once, it slows down to around 3Mb/second. But, this never happens if I transfer just several files at a time. Also, after these slowdowns occur, when the file are finished transfering, if I then transfer more files, it goes back up to high speeds again.

Are you transfering many files at once?

My card is on the way, so I can't test that yet.

Maybe a little of topic, if so sorry for that.
Is this speed enough on a card to handle everything you might play on a D2? Write speed 3,5 MB/s, Read speed 18 MB/s?

Im sure my computer (Dual core 1.82 2GB RAM) have USB 2.0 support but im not sure Windows crappy Vista does... I had to reinstall it to get the D2 show up in My Computer as 2 drives. Maybe its a software problem.

Ill messured read speed copying a 400mb avi movie and i get 4 MB/Sec from D2 and 2.5 MB/Sec from my transcend 4gb 150x card.

cutler, im pretty sure 18MB/Sec read speed is enough for everything. 3.5mb for read could be annoying when you have to run from office and want to copy 1 gig.
