Heh... I just realized the x5 will only have one LED instead of the three the m3 has... wish they wouldn't have done that. The 3 LEDs on the m3 are really cool.
Thats amazing. How could they have made it smaller than even the M3?!
does it looks smaller? i dunno maby cos its in the cradle but it looks wider to me.
came across these figures. now obviously the 14mm would only be for the bottom and not incl. the hump. seems to be 3mm shorter in height and around the same width. thats if these are true figures. if they are then i like the fact that two dimensions are reletavly similar to the m3, however we gona have to wait for iaudio or jetaudio to post up the x5 on their websites. grrr, im started to get fustrated with waiting, and im not even seriously considering it. i feel for the people who are waiting for it...will be worth it :)
100 x 70 x 14 mm
oh yea and about the LED thing. it looks like the LED space is shorter any pics on where you can seeonly one LED. as it says charge below the space im guessing it may only be the red and blue LED taken from the m3...

Hey I was browsing through the italian forum and found a comparaison between the X5 and a cigarette lighter.

Both links work fine for me. Great pics thanks Shaka and Red Dragon.
It looks about the same size as the M3 to me. It's hard to tell from those pics.
The screen looks so sharp (much better than an iRiver 3xx). I wonder what the video quality is like (I can't believe we still don't know the video spec.). I fail to see what the fag lighter comparison shows. It was obvious it would be bigger.
Wow, that looks alot smaller than I thought it was. It kinda looks smaller than the M3 but it's probably the angle.
The X5 will have a 1.5 (1.8?) inch screen, 160x128 resolution, and MPEG-4 Playback.
Yeah the picture might be creating the mirage, but it sure does look like it is shorter, and less wide than the M3. Excellent news. I just wish it it was thinner.
It looks shorter because it is in the cradle, but the M3 is 60.8 mm, and the X5 is supposed to be 70 mm, if that is true, the X5 in the picture does not look like it's a centimeter wider.

Fido I was more referring to the fps and how good the quality was? I didn't realise it was MPEG4 (which variant though? As MPEG4 has hundreds - DivX, Xvid to name two) and I forgot about the resolution.
Which could be okay but is pretty pants.
p.s - Thanks though.

I think it's MPEG4 simple profile and only at 15fps.

It's based on the XviD codec and the fps rate is 15 indeed.
Anyway... X5 isn't a PMP, but a real powerfull MP3 player, so... I'm not concerning so much about movies, but I know that I want one!
It's time to give to my M3 a brother! LoL

15fps is pretty good. That's more than the iRiver and 15fps for a portable device is fine. Having it based on the Xvid codec (like the iRiver) is a very good idea.
It makes it more compatible. How do you know this btw? Thanks too.
I know and I agree I want a decent audio player first but having video on top even if it's basic is a lovely bonus.

I talked with iAUDIO's guys at Cebit, they were very kind and proud to tell something about this beauty.
