Has anyone every ordered Cowon products or D2s from Korea, and used them in USA?

I have some friends in Korea -- and I'm thinking of ordering some D2s from Korea for 2 of my friends here that want some (all USA web sources and JetMall are out of stock). But I am hesitating because I have some concerns -- ie:

1. Korea uses 220v and USA=110v. Will this unit work in USA exactly at it should, without a lot of extra adapters, etc?

2. I wonder if the manual, the screen, etc on the unit will all be just as English-friendly as the D2's that they market in English speaking countries?

...and other issues like the above. Probably other things - maybe minor - things that one would have to contend with.

A sample of accessories/products - D2 related - in Korea: (hmm...a roundtrip ticket from CA is about $600. I wonder how much I can fit in my suitcase?) :)

Anyone have info on this on the workability of these models in USA?

Perhaps this is wishful thinking, but I'm hoping USA is out of stock now because they are letting all the 2GB models sell out so they can deliver the
4GB! Hello!

1:
this is just a guess, but I'm exchange student from Germany and all my stuff like camcorder etc.. had 220V and with only one converter, from the American to the German outlet, it worked with every thing good....
So it will probably work with the D2...

2: I think it is the same firmware on Korean and on USA D2's so you can just set the language to English.
When you receive it first, you get to choose the language when you first turn it on I don't see why it should not work with a player bought in Korea..

This is what I answered to the same question you posted in the other thread

Check if it ships with a 100-240v ac adapter, (any cowon product i have ever bought does), if so all you would need is a plug to covert the korean prongs to american ones, you can getthem at all major stores and airports.

To answer ur question:
1. Yes it will be compatible because I am currently using my ACER laptop (bought from US) to charge my COWON U3 (bought from Korea). Also the AC adapter is compatible with both voltages (but u will need that plug to change the round shape prongs to the blade shape prongs that is standard in north america)

2. The manual that came with U3 was an international version. The language was in English, Korean, Japanese, Spanish.... etc. So I'm sure that u can recognize it.
For the firmware and UI, yes when u buy it from Korea, the initial language setting will be in Korean. However, u can always change it later to whatever language u want.

But what I'm really unsure of is whether or not the player is eligible to receive warranty in NA.
