Has anyone noticed something? I'm about 3 to 5 times slower in track navigation on the D2 when compared to any other form of navigation.
I'm not sure what I expected when buying a touchscreen device but I surely didn't expect it to slow me down anywhere near as much. What's your experience?
I've had my 4GB model for 3 days now, and I have no problems with any navigating lag or anything... :s It's instantaneous, no delays when navigating music for me

What did you have before?

That would explain it :p
How so? my iRiver has no lag either, unless I load rockbox on startup, in which case it's a pain in the arse cause the hard drive has to spin up every time you want to navigate folders :P With the original firmware there's no lag....what player do you have that's oh-so-amazing that you think is quicker?

He means that HE is laggy, not the player, so to say. i like the touchscreen, but i hope they'll release a wired remote. I count 4 pins in the jack hole so might just be there's one coming, i dunno

No problems here either. Compared to the i6, the D2's lightening fast! [smile]
May be its just gettin used to...
In one month you are probably much faster then now...

it's just a learning curve, I'd say. You'll pick it up quickly, I should think.
Ive used over 10 different branded mp3 players in the past and the D2 both 2gb and 4gb are one of the fastest amongst them for navigation.

The reasons why would be?
For example, I can't drag the file list.
The up-down button repeat is not proportional, and it's slow.
The only area in which the D2 is faster for me right now is in the 'track goto'.

This should fix the lag when navigating folders in Rockbox.
