View Full Version : Cowon D2 (RED)
From what i've seen on the Cowon website the D2 comes in many colours...how come the shops only seem to be selling the black D2? I'm quite liking the red D2 but it seems nowhere to be seen...does it exist....if so where?
On another note, Has anyone bought the D2 from Dubai/Malaysia and if so how much does it cost for the 2gb/4gb? The 4gb is out in the UK but i figure importing will get me a better price and i can spend the xtra on accessories and sd cards!!

I know at the moment that advancedmp3players.co.uk has also the white colour in stock for both the 2 and 4GB versions.
I think the non-DMB D2 is available in black or white only, while the DMB-capable model has all the colors (but not black or white). It's the impression I got while looking at D2 photos on the Korean Cowon Global site one day.
Even with all the options, I think I'd go with black [smile]

Thats right!
Thanks for the info[thumbsup]...at least now i won't go searching for the red! I'll go with the black..now just gotta find a way of getting my hands on it..which i'm working on.[biggrin]

Actually, there is a website that ships DMB version internationally.
The website is: http://www.gmarket.co.kr
But it's in Korean, so if u guys have any Korean friends, maybe u can ask them to order it for you [biggrin]
And the shipping fee is extremely cheap. To US/Canada, it's only 20,000 Won, or about 25 bucks.
BTW, does anyone know if COWON North America will cover D2 bought from Korea under warranty?

I have some friends in Korea -- and I'm thinking of doing exactly this.
But I am hesitating because I have some concerns ie:
1. Korea uses 220v and USA=110v. Will this unit work in USA exactly at it should, without a lot of extra adapters, etc?
2. I wonder if the manual, the screen, etc on the unit will all be just as English-friendly as the D2's that they market in English speaking countries?
...and other issues like the above. Probably other things - maybe minor - things that one would have to contend with.
Anyone have info on this?

I doubt it very much as Cowon in Australia at least will only cover warranty of stuff bought here as most companies dont cover "grey imports", you may have to send it back to where you bought it for warranty. But its worth an email

Check if it ships with a 100-240v ac adapter, (any cowon product i have ever bought does), if so all you would need is a plug to covert the korean prongs to american ones, you can getthem at all major stores and airports.
