Received My D2

It came in Yesterday. What a nice package, riveling anything Apple and Microsoft has done. I only had time to charge the player, drop a few albums and vids on it, It came with FW 2.00 so I have to do the update tonight. It was not displaying album art that was embedded in the file I'm hoping with the new FW it will fix this. But the quality of the sound is stunning, I have a pair of Koss UR40's Full size Open Air Phones and none of the Players I have owned in the past, Ipod, Zune, and one I owned now, the Zen M and V, properly drive these, the D2 sounds fantastic, very full and the Bass response is tight. What vids I dropped on it, ones I encoded in Clonemobile, and one I converted in the Jetaudio converter played flawlessly and looked great. The screen on this player is top notch. I do have a couple of Questions. I usually like to drop a bunch of songs on my player. What I've done in the past is make a Playlist in Mediacenter 12 or Mediamonkey of about a gig or so and sync it to the player. All my music is in a structure of Artist\Album\track. I don't want to drop music on the player thru the browser it takes too much time. Has anyone synced the player using any of the packages above? Will it sync the fold and the tracks from the playlist? or are you using Jetshell to do this? Also on the vids created by the Jet program is there anyway to get rid of the Cowon Watermark?

Yes, in C:\Program Files\JetAudio\ folder you need to delete VideoConvert*.dat files

Yes it does. I don't mind, I actually like the watermark, gives me an improved Cowon feel.

I just ordered the 2gb + 2gb memory package from Jetmall for $219 - (only place that I could find in USA with ANY D2s available). I know thats not a good price, but at least I'm getting one on the way without waiting another 2months.

I think you will be quite pleased!! Cowon just makes "special" stuff- true story!

I have'nt had alot of time to play with the Device yet. I've watched a few vids and listened to a few songs, I hope to start getting into the device and getting some nice Wallpaper on the unit soon. I have FW 2.20 on it I've seen talk of 2.21 is that available I can't seem to find it. I think next time I upgrade the FW I will run the Font patch, the text is a wee bit small.
