if anybody out there has the tv-out cable, it would be awesome if you could post some pics showing it in operation. I'd like to see for myself what pictures and video look like on a tv.

Welp, the D2 manuals are on the Cowon Global site, and the accessories are at Jetmall....

I guess the next steps are the manuals showing up on Cowon America's site, then the 4gb model, along with the clear carrying case shows up on Jetmall.

well at least Cowon is reasonable with their accessory prices if this was Apple or MS that TV Out cable would be $19.99. I don't really need the TV out since 320x240 would look like ass on most tv's anyways. and I'm more likely to use my A2 would putting things out to TV than the D2. Maybe some extra stylus's but I think I'm going to pick up a pack of DS stylus which are slightly larger, the D2's is a bit too small in my hand. I'm curious what you all do with your stylus's when you are not using it as a stand, it does not really attach anywhere.

Also the tv out cable is not just for tv but you can use the audio portion of the tv out cable to feed your home audio setup..in this way your D2 becomes a "CD" player.

I use the ZVM for all of my TV-out needs, since it doesn't require transcoding for most video files. so i'll just wait for a decent case that isn't the Noreve.

What dont you like about the case price? just interested, my only thing i dont like is its hard to make it into a stand, it does it but it could easily roll over, unlike the a2s case.

yup i want to buy everything at once too esp since i got one for my sis too, that would save on shiping and what not :P its a good thing i got mine cause i was only going to buy the d2 for my sis, and now my bro might want but with the way the out of stock is it might not happen lol

I was looking at the accesories that are listed and wondered if the tvout cable doubles as a record in, thought being that the audio of the tv out may also be a audio in for recording, using something like a RCA to 3.5mm stereo plug maybe all that is needed to get an audio connection to record through.

I'm not sure if it will work but it's just a thought as cowon listed the possiblity of recording from a tv source in there specs (audio of course)

If you get the cable would it be possible to test this for us?

I was thinking the exact the same thing and thought what would be the point. But, if you think about it further, you could process a high resolution (or something that would look normal on a TV) and either keep its original resolution or tone it down so it will look decent (that's if you wanted to keep the file size down). All you would be doing here is converting to a format that the D2 recognises. I guess the advantage with the A2 is that you don't need to really convert the file at all if don't want to and plus you don't have to pay for the TV-out cable...
