Try this low cost stylus instead of the stock stylus

The D2's stylus is kind of an ingenius device because it serves as a stand as well. But there is no convenient way to tote it along unless you want to tie it to the unit itself. I don't plan to do that. I've been using Palm devices with touch screens for years, and I've always used a combination pen/stylus.

The stylus/pen I use only costs $3.99. Twist the barrel one way and it writes in your choice of ink colors (you choose the color you want when ordering). Twist the barrel the other direction, and it's a stylus and you can tap away. I plan to carry both the D2 and the stylus in the same shirt pocket. That's nothing for me to be honest, I'm the kind of person that twists the barrel to the wrong direction and starts writing on his Cowon ;).

I do have one of these kinds of pens for my PDA, it's quite nice indeed.

a nintendo DS Stylus could be good, their cheap (around 5 bucks for a 3 pack) and the size corresponds with the player,

Probably what I'll buy. I might also have a few extra Axim Sylus's around but they are a bit on the large size.

Fortunately, the stylus tip is a bight fluorescent orange. It keeps me from mistaking it for the ballpoint tip. BTW, did I mention this pen is pretty nice looking in person? It looks like it could cost 3X the price.
