Just got my D2, found a few bugs, nothing really serious.
*Videoes downloaded with vdownloader and saved as 320x240 avi makes the player hang
*Videoes converted using imtoo video converter with output as 320x240 works, but the players seems to read them as being twice as long, and hence progress bar jump wont work
*The norwegian version (i.e european plug) of the AC adapter is too big to really fit into the charging hole, fixed by cutting away some of the isolation around the plug (on the adapter, not the player)
Very good player :D

Are they xvid+mp3 videos? Because it's your resposibility to make sure they are compatible with the player.

Well there's something not right with them, point is, should say "unsupported format" ;)
Anyways not a big deal

If you run them through Cowon's jetAudio converter software, then everything will be good.

this is what's supposed to be done.
It should work with any program... Cowon is all about choice - not about forcing you to use their software.
But check your MPEG4 videos with GSpot (http://www.headbands.com/gspot/) to see if they're not encoded with GMC or QPEL - this might mess up the D2 (and most other players). Also make sure the bitrate isn't too high.
iRiverter should work fine - but I haven't got my D2 yet, so I can't say for sure.

i forgot about iriverter. do you think it would use the same settings as the X5?
No, the X5 needs a measly 160x128 @ 15fps... the D2 can use 320x240 @ 25/30fps... but it's very easy creating a D2-profile with iRiverter... it's a simple text file.
I bet the Creative Zen Vision:M profile works fine, though - it has the same specs as the D2. Just don't use any bitrate higher than ~500kbps, this might screw things up.
