Gauging Canadian group buy interest

I understand there are many Canadian members here with strong interest Cowon product but suffers the frustration of waiting for a Canadian retailer to stock these items. I have waited for 2 weeks now for the 2gig U3 and still no sign of when it will arrive and they don't even have 4gig yet. Why are we always so behind?

I have benefited many group buys in other forums that served Canadian very well and I think it's time for another one. [thumbsup]

I want to know who would be interested purchasing the D2? If I can get 5 members to commit then we can make this happen.

I have yet to work out the finer details but the unit cost would be between $250-$299 Canadian after shipping, tax & duties. So that's the to your door price.

I do not mean to be rude, but this transaction will be done over an accountable medium, correct? I mean a site such as ebay.

Otherwise, I don't know how we can hope to trust a member with only one post.

I am not interested, as I already own a D2, but certainly those who would want to go in for something like this would not feel comfortable dealing with a person who has no established credibility on these forums.

So, will you be going through ebay, or some other credible site?

I do have an Ebay account. How about paypal? How much protection does that offer to buyers?

Like I said, this is only to gauge interest and the details still have to be worked out. Nothing is concrete.

Yes, Paypal offers buyer protection.

I really want to emphasize that I meant no offense wen I said that, too. I Just had a friend get scammed on another forum, so I'm in hyper-cautious mode.

I hope some Canadians can get some D2s. It really is the best DAP I've owned so far. [smile]

I went through this exercise with another member trying to get one to me in Australia the ebay and paypal fees were like us$20.

Ebayer grupare said he should have his stock in a week or so, maybe this could be another option for you guys too.

They are not on yet, he told me hes waiting stock before he lists
