Just spoke with Jetmall sales and they have no clue when the 4GB version will be out. Just placed an order for the 2gb on newegg......so tired of waiting but i really want that extra 2gb!

How did you get them to tell you it was coming out at the end of Feb? I talked to somebody from Cowon online and they wouldn't tell me when it was coming out or even if Cowon was going to release a 4gb D2.

I placed an order last night on newegg with paypal and all they got to today was finishing the address verification. I'm guessing it takes them longer to process orders with paypal than normally, because they say 98% of their orders ship same day. I still love newegg, but just a heads up if you're paying with paypal on their site, it could take longer to process.

hmmm...
My order has been in step 5 for aproximately 4 hours now. Here's the problem, I still don't have the tracking number. Usually, in how long do you receive the tracking number. Adittionally, I might be looking in the wrong place, so where do I look for it?

P.S. Yes, this is my first time buying from Newegg.
dont worry some times the tracking doesnt show up, i dont know why but your product has shiped for sure... try to look at the main site in the details area of your order, it should have a little tab even if it didnt email you...
today it seems it went $5 cheaper 165 now? +5 for shiping! [blink]

omg, i just realized after you told me, that the price dropped a day after i bought my D2. -___-"~ sigh. I guess it's just five dollars though.
ya and the thing is fedex > ups as far as tracking stuff... i end up getting tracking stuff after almost a day.. even though it says its been shipped? whats up with that? fedex is good for most parts at least from newegg and in my area, they also used to or most time will ship 1 day faster then what is said... though not lately
I order a lot of stuff from newegg and sometimes I actually receive the package before I get the tracking email.
Are you kidding me!!!![cursing] it's out of stock! my paypal transfer for it is supposed to clear tommorow, and i was hoping to have a D2 on my doorstep by the end of the week!!!!! I hope they come through for me and get some more soon.

Newegg never takes long to get things back in stock..
yeah it was back in stock.... for about 12 hours! [no] my paypal money finally cleared and now i'm just staring at the newegg page cursing under my breath. The instant that status changes i'm ordering it
i got my 2x d2's (one for my sis) though i didnt make it and save the extra 5 bucks on each... they dropped the price lol
well.....that too only lasted for about a day. it's back up to $169.99 again
While you wait, check out chiefvalue.com as well- both newegg and chiefvalue are owned by the same company-they are offering it (when they get it back in stock) for 164+5 shipping=169 dollars. Slightly cheaper, also another place to look for stock (although I'd imagine they'd get more when newegg does).

I checked every websitethat Cowon's website says sells their products --
Amazon.com, Newegg.com, eCOST.com, Cheifvalue, etc.
They are all sold out of D2s right now.
I could see the writing on the wall, so I just went back to JetMall and tried to order a D2 there.
Guess what? JetMall (Cowon) is sold out there also!
They did seem to have a few of the D2s left bundled with an extra 2GB SD memory - a package deal they still have at JetMall now for $219. I went ahead and placed my order.
Thats not that great of a deal, because 2 weeks ago one could have got the D2 from Chiefvalue for ~$165, then for ~$40 more bought a 4GB disk and ended up with 6GB for $205 -- less than I just paid for 4GB total storage.
Oh well -- my iRiver broke a couple of days ago - and I couldn't wait -- who knows, they might get more D2s today, or 2 months from now...
Don't those guys want to make money? What up with having a hot product, and not enough of them to sell? People want to give Cowon money right now, for a hot product, and they can't. I hope they ramp up production or something.
