playcount on Linux

Hi to all,
I would like to know if the F2 device writes a playcount to the id3 tag of mp3s and oggs. I am not sure how the playcount marker works, but I remember it being very useful on the ipod in itunes. I got rid of the ipod and switched to Linux and would like to read playcount in files to help me keep in touch which podcasts I have heard.

I don't think so either. I have the F2 and there is no feature like that.

I guess I'll have to now rely on the old memory. I am writing small scripts in linux to deal with the gathering podcasts and putting them onto the F2.
