I don't know if any of you have seen yet, but the D2 is posted on Newegg for 175 shipped (unless you're in one of the few states where Newegg has a warehouse). It's 175 total, which seems like a pretty decent deal now at 25 more than a nano for the same capacity.

For some reason Newegg always puts them under "Jetaudio" mp3's players...I honestly think they'd sell more if they listed them under "Cowon" or "iAudio"...

So now we know that Newegg won't have the D2 4gb in stock for atleast another 3 weeks..
On newegg they list the D2 as have a AA battery. Haha, nice one newegg!

Well it's kinda a guess...
I'm going by the fact that newegg has the 2gb in stock roughly 3 weeks after jetmall had it first....so lets just say jetmall gets the D2 4gb in today than it probably will be atleast another 3 weeks until the 4gb is available on newegg.

The price drop is not much, but somehow things like this pisses me off..
Maybe a lot of you who bought the D2 is one of the earliest buyer, and see how they treat us. . .

i'm so happy newegg has it available, i really want to purchase a warranty with it since there are no U.S. based stores with accessories. and plus, i'm always on the go, never know ;)
The real quesion is whether you feel that the D2 is worth what you payed for it. If you think that it is worth $199, then you did not get ripped off. Don't think about it as the price is now. Prices always drop. You chose to buy it at the price that it was being sold for at the time. Don't worry. Just enjoy the music. :jamming:

My question would then be this:
If you didn't believe it was worth what you paid for it, then why did you buy it?
I just got a 2GB at $183 US shipped. I am sure the price will drop even farther. Oh well. I love it, and I believe that it is worth what I paid, and even more. I would have bought it at the price you paid too. [biggrin]
You must have felt it was worth what you paid, or else you would not have bought the player at that price. For those of us with inelastic demand curves, any price will be payed for the product we need...
Cmon guys, iaudio is a great forum with lots of great discussion about quality products and your complaining over a few bucks.
Just think how lucky you are to get one so quick, Im Australian and have gone to great lengths to get one and look at the Canadians, they are so close they can smell it.
Please dont make this forum like ones for ipods and zune kidies.

R3D: You are smart compared to me. I went to all the trouble of having my Korean colleague's wife pick me up a D2 when she travelled to Korea and I paid $234 US for it. Then to add insult to injury, the D2 was for sale at JetMall the same day I got mine! Still, it is a great player even for that price. Also, I could not wait for the 4 gb model which would be a smarter choice.
i bought mine today and it even shipped same day :) i would have spent 190 at jetmall, but the money i saved at newegg i ended up using + adding a little for 2 yr warranty, i'm really exciteddd

Anyway I wanted once to buy a camcorder, and I waited, like 2 month after the realese and then I saw the price dropping every other day, only like 2 Euros a day but still...
After one year of dropping price, the price dropping slowed down...
So I decided to buy it, the price already dropped from the original price 1600Euro to 700Euro...
Two days after I bought it the price dropped another 50Euro...
Bottom Line: Either buy it early or buy it never...

when the D2 4gb comes out, i'll be like bleh but i'll still be happy :) but either way, i don't buy from anyone but newegg so i would end up waiting even longer!
I just bought one on Friday. I was trying to hold out for the 4gb, but I could not wait any longer. I will probably wait until there is a final decision if it supports SDHC cards before I buy a card though. And for those who have it already, do you need a screen protector or is it alright to keep in your pocket and it won't get scratched?
I'm using right now the screen protector, which is on there from the factory...

Just the stock screen protector that comes on every electronic device with a screen. You'll want to replace it shortly after buying it. It is NOT a permanent solution.
where could i get one that fits the D2? there isn't one from jetmall or from googling D2 accessories (except maybe int'lly but that's too expensive)
