Have had my 2 gig D2 for a couple of weeks now and all-in-all I'm impressed. However, there are two things that would make the experience even more enjoyable.

First, when you bring up the music browser (or the vid or pic browser too) you can only leave the screen untouched for a few seconds before it automatically reverts back to the "now playing" screen. Sometimes right in the middle of browsing I'll forget where it was I wanted to go, or I'll get a few levels deep and forget the name of the song I'm looking for, or I'll be otherwise interupted...and there's nothing worse than being forced back to the "now playing" screen only to have to start the whole process over again (please realize I have fingers like tree stumps).

This is a bit of a two-way street because where I dislike the way it automatically reverts from the browser to the "now playing" screen, I do like the way it will automatically make the menu lists disappear if you leave them untouched for a few seconds. I just long for the X5 and A2 days of being able to open my browser, dig a little, scratch my head, dig a litte more, remove the lint from belly-button, and finish digging, all without feeling like I'm racing/fighting the UI clock.

Second - and this has already been mentioned in a few other threads - I wish there was better integration between the stuff you've got saved in the on-board memory and the stuff on your SD card. It is a chore having to back all the way out of one to get all the way down into the other. Again, a two-way street because while not being able to view all your files together is crappy, it is nice to know exactly which files are on the SD card and which are not. You would think there is a way to list them together and yet have some kind of designation for files on the SD card.

Nuff said.

integration: we all want it, here's to hoping it comes in the firmware.

first thing: this has become standard in most players. i realized the x5 would let you stay open, but it also had a 'now playing' screen button.

Me annoys the damn double click the device is great, the touch screen has a good sensitivity, but the double click annoys, sometimes you need one sometimes two clicks, always one click would be cool.

And, I don't know but it should be possible to change, when you tab the scroll bar it should when you pull your finger down automatically follow it, not only beam to the position, where your finger was before you released it.

For me, the double click thing is not so bad. I like that the first click lets me know I'm hitting the sreen in the right spot (by highlighting), and then a second "hit" in the same spot opens whatever it is I'm opening. Without this, if you are not exactly accurate you may end up going into something accidentally with a single touch, forcing you to have to back out before getting into what you really wanted.

Hmm... yeah... I didn't see it that way, thats true, and actually when you are selecting an item, you can select what to do with the settings..
Never mind with the double click ;)
