What do I do?? [surrend]
Ebay is useless, jetmall wont ship outside of the US, the european sites are WAY too expensive....
WHAT DO I DO??
my last mp3 player just broke and I've been waiting forever to get the D2!!
anyway it's ok, I'll live, but any tips will be helpful.

I'm holding my Creative MuVo^2 for dear life (the headphone jack problem is rearing its ugly head) until an eBay user by the name of grupare (he currently ships many other Cowon products for cheap to international buyers) will get D2 stock. Someone else on here said that he won't know when he will get stock though... I'm sure there will be other users who start selling worldwide on eBay soon.
I think you may find this (http://iaudiophile.net/forums/showthread.php?t=12858) thread to be very interesting.
Looks like some people there have already helped some Australians out with this problem. Shipping to you should be even cheaper, though. [biggrin]
same problem here man, where to buy a D2 in Canada... There used to be a couple of good specialized mp3 stores around Toronto, but I think most of them have folded (thanks crApple).
ca.buy.com has a couple of cowon products, so I'm crossing my fingers in hope they'll add the D2.
Same goes for dell.ca

heh i live in Canada too, but I'm waiting for the 4gb version....and since even jetmall doesn't have that yet I'll wait. Best bet if you want to save money too, is to find someone you know in the US to buy it for you, and then ship it to you. All you'll have to pay is the extra shipping cost but it's still good! Especially if you want it right away...I'm even tempted to wait a week or two after it released on jetmall because if you saw what happened with the release of the 2gb D2, they dropped the price 10USD within a week or two so....possible trend?

But, my 2GB is supposed to be delivered today. YAY! [biggrin]
I have an extra D2 if anyone wants to buy it. I bought one originally, hoping it would come before a trip (never did, I hate UPS). I then bought another one with faster shipping, hoping it would come before a trip (never did, I really hate UPS). So... I can either refund one or send it off to someone. If I refund it, I'll have to pay for shipping costs, this way at least I can break even. [blush]
P.S.
I live in the US right now but am from Toronto. Customs is pretty tricky with Canada... if they decide to charge you, it'll be 30% customs.

Thats why I explained the the 2GB device, 2GB SD Card and 4GB SD Card. At any rate, its a total of 8GB of storage for the device. :)

Yeah I know :P Good price though, I'm sure someone will buy it.
I feel almost neglected as a canadian consumer and I'm almost ready to say screw it and wait for a iRiver W10 instead. Cowon is non existent in Canada!

considering the size difference as well as the fact that the D2 is flash memory not based on harddrives...they're not exactly in the same class. Flash memory > harddrive because they're less prone to shock damage, and they're sooo much faster.
On another note, there are some places that sell cowon products, you just have to find them =D.

W10 is flash based (up to 8GB) with a touch screen, Windows OS, Good GPS, wider screen, speaker, sd card slot and its a bit slicker. Problem is it comes out in april. And Iriver cares about the Canadian market.

Sorry but that's BS, no retailer sports the D2 in Montreal, prove me wrong. Even if some super specialized boutique has it, expect to pay a nice premium sending the price well in the high 300$.
Anyway it's cool, I'm just pissed cause I dont have a D2.

Don't call BS, because you obviously didn't read the post correctly. He never once said that there was a single D2 anywhere in Canada. He said that there exist places that sell "cowon products" in Canada. Chill out. [smile]

Since when does Montreal equate to the whole of Canada? Ncix.com sells a handful of cowon products, and dell has a COUPLE, and yeah....there aren't that many but they exist. And you have to understand that there's not as big of a market in Canada, considering the population, so they moreso base it in the US in north america, so people in Canada will go through the US.....it's just a matter of time before it reaches here.
