hi!
i just bought my A2(like 2 hours ago...)
went ahead, installed the latest firmware, got some movies and music into my new PMP and tried it...
the music feature is great, sound is clear and loud...
however the video(AVI files + the A2 included videos) gets stuck after not more than 2 mins of video playback...
what can i do?

is the PMP being charged while watching the videos? i have seen that the player hangs after some time if a video file is played while it is being charged.
not very common, though.

I got my A2 last Friday.... and I had this problem also. Installing the latest firmware (1.85E) did nothing to fix this for me.... I think it has something to do with the power saving features....

What finally did work was... I went to the System menu and under the Power tab I set:
- Sleep Timer = Off
- LCD Off = Always On
- System Off = Always On
- Power Save = Off

I'm not sure which one of these options fixed the problem, because once it worked I never changed these options again.

I've watched 8+ hours of video since changing this setting... and the problem has not come back....

-If im not wrong everything but Power Save mode wont change a thing [for the video playback ]

u can go ahead and put the above (besides powersave ) on whatever u want (u might want the LCD to turn off etc. )

correct me if im wrong,

da2niel.

Does anyone know if Cowon is looking into this issue or not? I'm hoping they will release new firmware soon that will fix this...

It sucks to have a power save feature that cannot be used...
