Think I might pre-order the 4GB version of it. Already have a Clix but... it's a Clix. The screen is useless and the video playback, awful. Would someone do me the favour of giving me the exact measurements of the screen (mmxmm) for comparison?
It'd be nice to know if someone have a frame of reference (in terms of Clix and D2) and think it's worth the upgrade too.

Why don't wait for clix2?
I like thr touch screen of D2, but I read somewhere that the SQ of D2 is the same like U3. And I had U3 before and enjoyed the iriver sound better. iriver was little warmer.

The New Clix2 has a 2.2 inch screen...The Cowon D2 has a 2.5 inch screen.
D2 is touch screen.... Clix2 is not.
D2 has TV out... Clix2 does not.
what is the tv out for... i mean there is no point to watching videos from the D2 on the tv since the videos have to have 320 by 240 resolution. The only thing I can imagine using the tv out for is for viewing pictures. But personally I don't find that very exciting.
The D2's screen however amazed me and is very clear and bright. I can actually watch full length movies on the screen if I have no other options.
I measured the D2 dimensions: 52 mm by 39 mm. I think this is bigger than the clix2's screen and I can't imagine how anyone can watch movies on a screen smaller than the D2's
The clix's menus and navigation are much simpler than the D2's. There are few more features like multiple playlists you can name, song ratings, stuff like that. Personally I went and bought the D2 because battery life was very important to me. The new Clix 2 was supposed to have 20-25 hours. I think

can't believe its just 52x39mm.....man i just realized how tiny that hase to be...I mean on evry single video the D2 appears a hell of a lot bigger (sure the measures are only the screen but the rest of the device isnt that big either).
I checked the values and everything seems correct....

Slightly disappointing though, that's only like 5x5 mm:s extra. They've even managed to waste a couple mm:s of space compared to the Clix dimensions. I mean... what would be the difficulties in filling that space?
Still makes a difference viewed side to side, with a liiittle less headache(eventhough I think that even mini-pmp is a huge overstatement), and it does have great battery life so... guess I'm gonna have to buy it anyways. That's how it goes, right? [yes] [no] [yes] [no] [yes] [surrend]
If anyone else wanna compare, the measurements for the Clix is: 69x47 with a screensize of 46x34 (D2: 78x55,4/52x39).
Hey, I think I misled you when I said the D2 measurements were 52mm by 39 mm!
I meant the screen size of the D2 is 52mm by 39mm. Sorry!

I'm actually trying to decide between the D2 4Gb and the A3 30Gb once they're available.
The D2 is smaller and flash-based, but the A3 has more space and better video (4" vs 2.5" and widescreen).
My main use would be as a PMP on the subway or occasionally in the car. I currently listen to music 100% of the time but I'd like to be able to watch a video every now and then as well. And with a PMP I was thinking I could watch stuff when travelling - at the in-laws', hotels, etc.
Any tips/hints/other considerations?
