Flat corner after some burr, but work on the prototype is definitely yes, D2 on Taiwan is already very well.

Very nice. [thumbsup]

But, I wish the images were of a higher resolution. I'd like to see more of the detail on the circuit board.

Here's a link to the processor...it's not the one ending in "01" but I'm sure it's probably the same one.
Capable of a 3mp camera..

I see where the weight comes from - the battery size is end to end.

Thats why it gives 50 hours playback, a nice trade off imo[biggrin]

I'm not complaining, I was just expecting it a bit lighter based on the pictures. But it's nice that the battery is long and flat like that, it's well balanced - the player isn't heavier on either side.
I've had mine over a week now and still haven't had to charge it.

Is the the battery replaceable?

It looks like it, you would just need the will to open her up and find one that would suit if it ever came to that day[no]

In most cases, I would think a D2 owner would contact Cowon about a battery replacement, and the player could be sent in to be fixed for a price (just guessing... maybe $60.00 US).

By the time the battery wears out - I would guess 2 years - most D2 owners will be buying a D3?

Heh, heh... I think that's how companies plan things. You'll be buying a new player before the battery dies. Not such a bad thing, when you consider that the D3 will be totally super awesome!

Could you see that pictures in two entries of sasha are of little different PCB? In first set of pictures is memory chip(samsung) in other position (in reference to TeleChips chip) than in second picture set.

What do you think evoke it?

EDIT: I'm sorry. Now I take note that on PCB are two memory chips.

oh great pictures yezee and sasha0223 [thumbsup] but does anyone know or spot where the DMB chip or signal chip (whatever it is called) is... i had heard it was not included with all other world model D2's in this forum somewhere but im not sure as what i had is a feeling is that all D2 players have the DMB feature just not active for rest of world apart form Korea/Seoul untill signals are availible.... if anyone knows thankx would be of great help... then make clear to me whether or not it would be worth buying the DMB version (waste of more money) but hey that would be appreciated .... thankx again dudes.....[thumbsup]

The DMB chip is the chip in metal cover and there are some specifications:
http://www.ket.com/pdf/4/%ED%99%88%ED%8E%98%EC%9D%B4%EC%A7%80%20GW06TDBM-TB08%20SPEC%20060621.pdf
I think that this chip are on all versions of D2 but in versions for Europe or American market have D2 different firmware...(it is my opinion)
