So I am in the market for a new player. I am giving my 2 gig clix to my girlfriend and was wondering if any of the few people who have the D2 have used it working out?

Also anyone use the clix as well I would like to hear how they compare.

Also, how long till they make a exercise case/ armband case? Or is there another product out there that would work

Thanks

It should be ok for working out as its a flash drive so no moving parts compared to hard drive players.
As to the accessories who knows, Cowon isnt famous for doing it, so if the d2 becomes popular maybe third party companies will come through.
I know the zunes been out for a couple of months and theres hardly anything available for it, and was has come out
has taken a ages, so dont hold your breath, the third party companies are only interested 98% of ipod.
Maybe the D2 will fit in something that an ipod was made for.

I am buying the D2 strictly for working out on the elliptical machine in the gym. Because the D2 has that hole for stringing the stylus, I'm going to fashion some sort of leash with a little caribiner clip. I'll attach the clip to the elliptical and place the D2 on the area where you normally place a magazine to read. My Etymotic ER-4P earphones have a 5-foot cord, so it droops low enough where my arms can swing and I won't hook the cord. The D2 is just made for ellipticals, I tell ya!

I'm using my U3 in the same fashion on the elliptical right now. I open a button on the clear carrying case , pass the earphone cord through, then button it up. Every so often I yank the U3 off the machine and it's dangling by the earhphone cord. Whew!

I can't wait for the 4GB D2 to appear for sale. I've already encoded all my workout music videos and FLAC songs for it :)

I really do hope COWON releases a clear holster for the D2 that holds it by the edges and back like cellphone holsters. I hate clear vinyl cases.

I think this was already mentioned but noreve (http://www.noreve.com/langue/en/product/Housse_cuir_Cowon_iAudio_D2_Tradition.html?ref=20&affiliate_banner_id=29) has a nice D2 case. Not a holster but looks nice. 35.99 Euros. They will ship Internationally.

I use this metal clip I bought that was an after market clip that was designed to be used with that black case that came with my U2...but I never used the case...I put a piece of velcro on the back of the U2 and a piece on the clip...and used it that way that way the beauty of the player is not hidden...and I plan on using the same clip for the D2...you can clip it just about anywhere I usually clip it on my gym shorts..

That's too pricey. I just want a cheap clear plastic holster. The one for my celphone costs me $2. I have no idea why COWON has such a hard time releasing a holster, it's really quite disappointing.

I did the same with mine, except instead of velcro, I used 3M mounting tape. My D2 gets a lot of use in the gym and this works great. I've got the menu button programmed to skip track, so it's easy to do without looking at it. Not as functional as the joystick the U3 has, but it does the job.

Here's a couple of pics of it.

If by holster you mean clip, yes the case comes with one. Optional attachment.

skinbelly thats exactly what I did to my U2 and plan on doing to my D2 when the 4gb comes out...but I used industrial strength "Velcro brand" instead for times when I don't need the the clip on...that way it's alot easier to just stick in your pocket if you want ...it makes it smaller...and the velcro is so strong that I have a hard time ripping the clip and the U2 apart.
But I tell you I'd like to try that clip you have on there...Where did you get it?? I'm sure I could use velcro on that to... Thanks..

The clip was from the back of a Zen Muvo silicon case.
I was about to buy one of these before I realized I had the old Zen case.
