Here's the reply from Cowon on my request for a list of supported sd cards for the D2. I couldn't tell whether that means sdhc or not but "all sd cards" would include SDHC, if that's what he means.
Unfortunately right now there is a limitation due to the firmware since the product is very new, in our next firmware our D2 will be able to support all sd cards.
Thank you,
Cowon America Inc.
Well thats a tease, how good would this thing be if sdhc are supported!

In my humble opinion, the D2 is already best in class by a wide margin. There are a couple of minor annoyances and design flaws but I'm really happy with mine.
I probably should not equate "all sd cards" to "all sd cards, including sdhc" but I believe sdhc is a subset of sd, even though it is a different standard, the card is still Secure Digital form factor and thus sd.

Can you maybe reply to their email and ask if that includes sdhc, please
Haha! This thread is such a tease. I'm already drooling for the 4GB D2 with a 4GB SD card. Just the thought of SD HC....
I need a drool bib!

Hello all,
Well, if D2 clearly supports SDHC, this is awesome, this means 4GB right now, and maybe more to come.
Can you exactly ask Cowon if precisely this includes SDHC.
Thanks

Full SDHC support would be sweet, they got 8 GB right now. I know of one by Transcend and another by Ultra, but I'm sure there could be more.

Isn't a 4GB SD card already considered as SDHC? so if that works doesn't that mean that it does support SDHCs?

The source of this message isn't checked and rechecked. Justlike the "conversation with cowon"(said no SDHC). It's just a normall employee answering the question. So it's not sure he means SDHC. At least it's cool it supports al sd up to 4 GB.

You can't reply to cown tech support emails directly since the email address of their sender bounces if you reply. I put in another ticket asking if the D2 will support SDHC and also asked about a bug in the new firmware whereby you cannot set the middle button to any of the options like pause, next or previous track.
Did they deactivate the customize function?!
