I opened a thread re price drop and now realised that if you buy the d2 from above company and dont live in the Uk, they drop the 17.5% Vat from their price
I ordered the d2 4gb and hope the eta of 31st Jan is correct EDIT this has changed until 18th Feb

this dropped the price from gbp 170 to gbp 153 plus gbp 13 for worldwide delivery which is about us$310.00.

Yeah they do drop the VAT, but you own country recharges their own VAT so for me that's + 19%.

I believe anyone from USA is better off order from jetmall.net because it's cheaper.

The reason im buying is that going to plan ill have my 4gb d2 in the first week of feb, ive been advised the 4gb wont hit the usa until may and thats a maybe, and me living in Australia wont ever see them. We also have us$750 threshold per shipment before any taxes are charged.

Check the d2 4gb at the bottom of listing, ive emailed them to see if it effects my order, waiting reply

Thanks. I guess that changed overnight (UK time).

Annoying that they didn't tell me there would be a delay yesterday.

Glad I didn't order one yesterday after all.

I think I'll wait and see what other companies offer it now when it's more widely available.

Does this now mean the official date for the D2 4gb release in UK would be 18th Feb?

Pixmaina website say: 1st Feb, but i aint going all out for that price. (£212)

If you dont live in the uk, they drop 17.5% off when you add to your cart and register as non uk person, yes it includes the 2gb card
I wouldnt buy anything from this mob anymore, ive had nothing but bad transactions with them, they are like a government agency

I've just ordered a 2Gb one from advancedmp3players.co.uk, I wanted the 4gb one but that isn't coming in until mid februrary, and I'm impatient! If they really do add SDHC compatibility then it won't really matter anyway. i'll let you know how I get on with them. One annoying thing, it came in at £149.99 - just under the free delivery! So I ordered some Shure e2cs to go with my growing headphone collection....

I'm just hoping its the real deal. Knowing my luck I'll open the package tomorrow and it'll be the 2GB version, or it'll be DOA or something ridiculous. I'll keep you posted tomorrow though as it was sent today via Australian Air Express.

Well, my D2 arrived today. But theres some good news and theres some bad. The good, it was actually what I ordered, no surprises. The bad, the plastic on the back was warped and the battery was exposed as a result, and it would not click back into place. Though I'm most impressed with the company, I e-mailed them about the problem and within 5 minutes I had a response asking my address so they could arrange a courier to pick up the item for replacement at no charge for me. They only got the stock in yesterday and rushed out all the orders without checking all the units I believe, so these things happen but I'm most impressed with their customer service. So hopefully I'll have a new, non-warped D2 at my doorstep on Tuesday.

Yep you said "knowing my luck", its great its 4gb, im ordering one now and hope they dont ship me yours. Lucky I have a friend that wants my 2gb one.

Strangely enough, my luck is usually pretty damn good... I think I may have cursed myself when I implied that I usually have bad luck. Oh well, at least their support department is a pleasure to deal with.
