I'm pretty sure I will. I have a 13.5gb music collection, and i'd like to keep a video or two with me. so i think i'll have to wait for the 4gb version, and possibly buy a 4gb memory card?
while i have a post, what is the whole 'not having all your music' life like? i've always had HDD players.
I bought a 4GB card for my D2. I now have 6 GB in total, and although I am used to more, you can still fit your favortie music on the player.

are the files on the card databsed with the files already on the player or does the card have to be accessed separately?

I used have all my music way back when I had a Creative 20GB Zen, but since it got water logged, I have been using a Creative MuVo^2 with only 4GB of memory. I'm constantly listening to new music so the capacity hasn't been issue. I figure what's the point in carrying that amount of music at the cost of bigger sized device when all you have to do is maybe transfer all the stuff again every so often (depending on how easily you get bored with your collection), but I guess that is just me.
But, getting to the question, I certainly will because doubling my current capacity will be nice.

what card are you using?
I've seen Transcend 4gb cards for about $70 so that will most likely be the one i go with.
D2 maybe in future takes SDHC card :) So i will wait and see.
Yes, I am using a Transcend card that I bought off eBay. Very good seller too - I am in the UK though. I payed about 80 USD for the 150x speed version.
The D2 doesn't seem to have an ID3 database (yet). The Data on the card appears in a seperate folder in the root directory.
So you have "D2" and "D2 Ext" in the root folder.
A question to eXity,
I wonder how many and which language is available on D2?
Uhm:
English
Korean
Chinese
Simplified Chinese (I think)
another asian language I can't work out
German
French
Russian
Hebrew
Italian
Swedish
Spanish
Dutch

Lol Dutch they never do that :P
Japanese is the other, it must be it :P.
Cool, Swedish again :)
How do you think the Sound quality is? Like X5 or better?

exity: it says ID3 support, but Kevin's video's only show what seems to be filetree browsing? how does it actually work?
eventually, i might.
ive never really felt limited by my i6's 4gb size... i have 120+gb of music but i listen to it in shifts. the amount of .flac i have is limited, so, for the most part, i dont have to worry about running out of space.
i love the option, though. i got my gf a camera and it takes an sd card, of which she has a 133x 2gb. i told her if i got the d2 we'd be instant slideshow, because of the d2's tv out feature (set to music, too!)

what kind of A/V out cable does the D2 use? not the standard 3.5 mm plug, from what I saw in Kevin's video.

Apparently there's Kingston 2gb SD cards on Amazon.co.uk going for £13 so if you're planning on getting a D2 then it might be a good buy to prepare for it.

That is almost a deal breaker for me, paired with the lack of sdhc at this point. If the correct both issues I'd buy this player in a second.

hmmm AdvanceMP3players in UK ships the D2 (4GB) with a 2gb SD card for free when you buy your D2 at them.

Atm only 4gb cards are supported, but the high capacity are not but we are hoping this will change

Neither have I. I've got hundreds of songs on it and at least 25-30 music videos, several podcasts, and three pictures. And I still have 1gb of space left.
I wanted to hold out for the 4gb D2. But, what with the costs of an 4gb SD memory card and a Cowon case that's and additional $100+. And considering what I said above, 6gb should be more than enough memory for me. [smile]
also in case you need more.. you can just buv another sd card.. move songs you listen to often to the D2 internal and the others to the sd cards... they are so small you can carry them arround pretty easy....
BTW anyone knows if there is a little pocket or something in the leather case for the d2...??

there's a slot for it. fantastic case from what i can see.

mp3 Tags
The mp3 tags are displayed by the D2 while the song is playing and they can't be used for searching for tracks yet.
MY SD card experiences
I'm using a 4GB SD card and that is where I keep my all my movie files (in a folder called MOVIE). When I go to movies from the main menu, it always displays the movie files in a list or resumes from the the movie I was last playing, ie. there is no need to browse to the SD card to find them.
Also, while playing music on random shuffle with the boundary set to 'All', tracks are selected seemingly at random from both the internal and SD memory. It's all pretty seemless.
The only glitch I've noticed so far is that when going to 'Pictures' from the main menu, it goes to the root folder. I've just upgraded the firmware and this is still an issue. Not a big deal for me though.

"I am using a 4GB card"
Could you share with me which kind works in the D2? My Ritek Pro 150x 4 gb card does not work properly in it and the player will hang every time I try to play a movie off the card.
