i think i will be purchasing this player pretty soon; however, how come the ac adapter is optional? usb = charger?

also, i notice some ppl are saying this has 4gb, perhaps a model outside of the USA? a bit confused.

and since this uses flash memory, can you go beyond 2gb?

You charge the player via USB.

The flash memory is built in. There are different models available. Some with 1GB, some with 2GB and some with 4GB. Choose the model that best suits your requirements and your wallet ;-)

It looks like the 4GB version hasn't bee released yet in the US though ...

The 4GB version is available in the U.S. [yes] See my previous post in the "4GB iAudio F2?" thread.
