If you didn't have this problem under 1.81 I'd say switch back. There's reasons why it's a Beta firmware.

Wow, first I've heard of this.

You might want to get it RMA'ed then...though since it doesn't happen consistently I'm not sure if you'd consider it worth the effort...if you do pursue it, make sure Cowon knows it's _not_ constant so that they won't just try it once.
