I was just perusing and I noticed a site selling the creative muvo micro N200 512 MB for 82 bucks

http://www.compuplus.com/insidepage.php3?refer=cnet.com&id=1003565

this was the player I was seriously considering before i found iaudio, and since its normally a similar price I didn't consider it too much longer. I'm not regretting getting the I5 or anything, this is just a great deal. I told my twin brother he should get it becuase he's not quite as into music as me and this would work pretty good. If anyone wants a fairly inexpensive player check it out

Berkeley, hm? Where they write your name on rice on Telegraph Street...

I was looking at the Muvo N200, and it didn't look too bad, but display seemed a little small...plus it didn't offer playlists, which to me is a must.

yeah those are the exact 2 things i didn't like. I did want a 1 gig but they don't have such a good deal on the 1 gig...actually i didn't look. This isn't for me, I already bought the I5 and can't wait for it to come.

and yes telegraph is a very unique place

About the n200: Dont forget about the annoying buzz many users experience when the background light is on as they listen to mp3. However this is just a minor flaw if you dont enjoy using the player as a flashlight whilst listening.

If you have Audible tracks, the Muvo N200 fully supports formats 2 and 3. I did use the Rio 500 for my Audible book tracks, but it very old and the Rio software does not support W2K and WinXP. Fortunately, the Audible software still supports the Rio 500. But since Rio 500 replacements are hard to come by now, I have moved up to the N200.

The N200 is very reliable but lacking in the perks of the Iaudio 5. The sound quality is good and it is powerful enough for earbuds. It is so light that you would not notice it clipped to your shirt. The only problem I encountered was breaking the battery door latch. Creative replaced the unit. The screen is small, the backlight adds noise, and the line-in encoding jack is submini in size.

My wishlist for the N200 includes:

1) Accelerating FF/RW
2) Sleep timer
3) Folder boundary
4) Bookmarks
5) Mic and line record volume setting
6) Multiple level folders

Or I could get an Iaudio 5. :) I did.

Exactly! I can't tell you how glad I am to have stumbled across COWON and the I5. There seems to be some good flash DAP choices out there on the surface, but when you start hashing out the details, they seem lacking in some pretty important areas. Really, for not much more, the iAudio lineup is a good value. Hopefully, Creative and Samsung will take note and start competing more on a feature basis, not just on price.

I also didn't get the N200 for reasons #3 and #6..

It's amazing how so few players actually added any more features than WMA and Ogg in the last three years!
