It's not all bad as there are plenty of free good alternatives such as AnyDVD. I use this as DVD Decrypter doesn't recognised the encryption algorithms in some of the newer DVDs.

"plenty of free good alternatives such as AnyDVD?"

But AnyDVD is not free. What will do the job and is free?

Fair Use Wizard

Ditto! Its a all in one program.

DVD decrypter has been dark for way over a year...

Have any of you tried to use DVD Shrink, completly free and rips the dvds to a single dvd all for free, so it breaks that 700mb limit that Fair Use Wizard has on the free version.

DVD Shrink has gone dark also. Not being updated. Also need to take its output and convert to xvid/Divx I think. All Shrink is a ripper/stripper.

For 20 dollars FairUse is worth every penny and is being updated. It rips pressed DVD and process it into a file that the A2 and others can handle... Its a one stop shop. Plus have neve had a lip sync issue with it.

DVD Decrypter is still very usable. And then there is DVD Fab Decrypter, which iis also available in a free version.
