I installed the jetaudio and the jetshell on my software cd. Although I see every1 using/talking about excuse my spelling the iriveter or however u spell it for their converter software. Now which one should I stick with, what are the differences?
Thanks im still learning
I think you should try them out and choose whatever works best for you. There isn't a consensus on this topic.

Most people (including me, Zeus's Uncle, and some other members), prefer VDM for its higher video quality. It is a bit difficult to use, but there is a tutorial in the X5 videos forum.
THis should be in X5 videos; shouldn't it?
As it applies just as well to the A2 and others as to the X5, I'm leaving it in a non-player-specific forum.

But he's talking about converting videos to the X5-specific format. iriverter is useless for the A2.
Are you sure about that? I seem to recall that iriverter can convert to custom parameters...for instance, the A2's parameters.

There is a "PMP" profile for the iriverter version I have installed. Thing is, all you have to do is go into the profiles folder, choose a profile to edit and open it in a text editor and set it how you like. I'd assume you can even create your own custom profiles by making a new file. So it should work just fine for really any device. In the PMP profile these are the settings I have...
device=PMP Series
maxVideoBitrate=1500
maxAudioBitrate=192
dimensions=320x240 512x384 640x480
maxFrameRate=30
That said, I never use iriverter anymore, I find other applications to suit my needs better, but I've been doing video editing for awhile and I think it's geared more towards the inexperienced user.

Yeah, I've never heard of A2 people converting videos using iriveter. It would reach a broader audience(and more specific) in X5 videos.
