I've had my A2 since the end of January now, and I've given it a chance to have a few firmware upgrades, but I still have one major problem: I cannot record at 640x480 reliably; it just locks up. Sometimes I can get a minute or two of video recorded, but that is rare. Everything else works though, including the lower resolution.
I should note that this is in PAL mode.

The reason I hung on is because I've seen numerous other people reporting the same, or similar problems, and because other issues like the dreaded horizontal line/noise on recordings was fixed in a firmware update. But this recording issue is showing no sign of going away, and the majority of you seem to have no problem (though this may be because most people only use it to play back?).

If I want to send it back for repair/replacement, how do I go about it in the UK? I seem to recall there being a change to warranty procedures recently.

Thanks.

Are you using the most recent firmware?

Yes, I am using the latest firmware. This is a problem that started at v1.59/1.60 (when the framerate was increased from 15FPS, to 30FPS), which led me to think it was a firmware issue, but there are no 30FPS firmware versions that work for me, despite re-formatting, etc etc.

It looks like it's down to the shop I bought it from to return it, but as my brilliant luck you have it, they (Tesco online) have closed their electrical shop online for "a few weeks", so I'm stuck.

Marvellous.
