View Full Version : Question about Headphone-Jack
Hi,
i'm going to buy a x5l, but i'm shocked that so many players had a problem with the headphone-jack.
Now my Question: When i use a remote is that better for the jack? Had only users without a remote a broken jack?
Sorry for my bad english, i hope you understand my question.

i had the same problem, i use the remote to spare the connection of my x5, the remote protects it, a remote is cheaper and easyer to get than a new minijack connection for the x5.
And i pluged a minijack splitter into my remote with a verry small grip arround the plug so its not as easy to break the remote :p
just like most mp3 players the minijack connections on the x5 series are pretty vulnerable, but it depends on the type of headphone jack you use.
i have Stanton DJ pro 2000 headphones, those have pretty big plugs, but if you have normal headphones you'r most likely to have a plug with a 90 degree angle, wich is better fot the connection.
i hope you understand my complicated crappy english aswell :p
so you think it's a good idea to protect the headphonejack with a remote?
my favourite headphones are creative ep630 or shure e2c. hope they are good enough for me.
can you show me a photo from your minijack splitter?

its a belkin splitter from their ipod accesoires, but it had the smallest connectors i could find.
and if it does break the remote, i can get a new remote instead of a new mp3 player ;)
sorry for the size of the pic
