Official Cowon poll available for your most wanted feature

Given this important opportunity that official Cowon forums give to A2 users to voice their opinion, I think this should be made by mods into a sticky:

In my opinion, the major addition to Cowon next firmware should be the ability to play video in mkv/ogg container with several subs and audio languages, as this would greatly widen the number of supported files. Moreover the first use of A2 is to be a video player, and I spend much more time than listening music with it. But the ability to save and load several different playlist would be my 2nd priority in firmware development, as it would save a lot of time when managing mp3 list.
At last I don't really need games with A2, as cellphones or psp already have that.

I don't mean to be a pessimist, but whle the poll is on the Cowon America forums and was posted by a moderator of said forums, I see no indication that said moderator speaks for Cowon in any official capacity or that this poll will ultimately amount to anything other than...well, a poll.

hi people.
just wanna clear a confusion. like doniago said, it's not something THAT official.
there were a lot of feature request threads requesting almost the same things...
i just tried to sum them up, put in one place. so that cowon people can see better WHAT people wants.
however, i DID informed them about this special thread.

And the poll is there just to POINT them out...which feature(s) are REALLY required.

yes. not possible. it requires hardware you know. i just leave it there so that they add it to their next PMP...A3???

New Info: a cowon guy confirmed that all most all of the features suggested for A2 here (http://www.cowonamerica.com/forums/showthread.php?p=27858) will be present in their new PMP, iAudio A3!!

Most of these request on this wish list will be supported on our new product the A3.

now, the question is, which ones will be dropped and which ones will we get in A2 through firmware upgrade...

All I want is for somebody to start making customized firmware that allows the A2 to run from an MPlayer core, sort by ID3 tags and conserve battery life.

However, almost none of the features I was hoping for appear in it.

My original wishlist (http://www.iaudiophile.net/forums/showpost.php?p=52380&postcount=1) (even though based on firmware 1.39) still holds, paricularly as far as the MUSIC, PHOTO and BROWSER sections are concerned.

If I had to choose just one thing, I would vote for a better PHOTO function. This is the least developed part of the A2.
Everything else is in the category of "would be nice", but the photo is clearly a barely functional feature
which should be brought up to par with the A2's other features.

Just my 2 cents.

i agree with mcsmarties. we should at least get the option of being able to rotate the picture. zooming should go upto 10x considering the level of detail digital cameras can now capture.

Would it not be possible to connect the Bluetooth through the USB port and have a FW update take use of it?

It couldnt be done well with a firmware update, would have to be part of the model but does anyone else think this is a good idea?

Where the hole/av out slider is, there could be an LCD Off setting where if it is selected, whilst playing music you can control the player (eg skip a track or turn it up) without turning on the LCD, therefore consuming less battery life.

If that makes sense...
