what the heck is going on with cowon, when are they going to release a new player???? they release a useless outdated pendant player, is that it???

Austin give us a hint if there are any to give, please.

I'm sorry if I came off really excited, I wasn't trying to, I just want to see something new from my favorite company, plus I want more action on there boards. plus, whats the point in having 350+ posts if there is no one new to show them off to :p.

CES is in January. I would expect something new from Cowon by then... something to replace the X5 and/or the A2, hopefully.

I think it's understandable for many of us to feel discouraged with Cowon at this point.


There's a bunch of iAudio G3 fans who need more memory, yet the only thing Cowon offers us is an awkward toy with 2GB flash (or is it only 1GB?) and a proprietary battery, which is exactly what we don't want. Summer's here and the time is right for updating the existing flash lineup. If they wait until Fall or Winter, many of us won't need flash devices anymore (I still would, though). Even some cheap Chinese companies can get 4GB flash, so Where is Cowon?

ces? that's over 5 months away. If they intend to wait that long, I think they better be bringing out a pretty high capacity flash player to at least stay a ppar with other companies.

You seem to contradicting yourself timms. You say you want to see some more action from your favourite company, but you are bashing Cowon's build quality on this thread (http://iaudiophile.net/forums/showthread.php?t=10275&highlight=cowon+quality+control), saying a Cowon player probably won't be your next one. What will it matter if Cowon makes something new if you won't even buy it because you don't think it has good quality?

I suppose I implied that I'll buy from Cowon again, but I really just want to pep these boards up. The last line in my second post did hold some truth. I am waiting for a small 20 GB + flash player with UMS, whichever company releases that player first ( along with a few other prerequisites) is the player I'm buying.
