Songs with no information?

Just transferred a few new albums to my x5l recently but for two albums there is information appearing when I go play them. Its strange because the named files are all there on the player and even appear for a few seconds before each song starts to play. I checked the id3 tags while connected to the pc and they all look fine but still no info while playing, any ideas?

I just recently had this problem as well. All my old albums' information shows up fine. Bumping for suggestions.

Synchronize your tags between v1 & v2 possibly.

What tags can the x5 read? Also I thought the x5 took info from the file name?

I still don't know what ID3 is. Looked on wiki and it didn't help. All I know is I see the album and song info as I would want to see it. Don't know how ID3 would be better.

I don't remember which version of ID3 (aka tags) it reads from. You can only browse by folder & file names, but when playing a song you can either have it display the folder name and file name that is playing, or display the Artist, Album and Track name from the tags. This is a setting you configure in the menu on the x5.
