I'm downloading a fansub and the format they chose for the video's is really weird. The video's come as mkv files but for video and audio they use quicktime codecs [blink]. There is also the strange fact its in highdef format.

Here is the problem, I can watch the video's fine in VLC but I dont know how to convert them. Virtualdubmod can read the video fine but cant decode the audio. The other program I use cant read the video portion of the file [cursing]

Because they are both strickly video only programs I cant have say VDM convert the video and River past video cleaner convert the sound then recombine it. Also because VDM cant read the audio it isnt able to extract it either. Does anyone have any idea as to how I could convert these?

Urghhh... good luck man, you're going to need it!
Sometimes I really wonder what people think when they make weird video packages like that.

Anyway, sorry I can't give you a straight answer but have you tried using SUPER?
Try searching for this term in the forum.

Using the Matroska splitter you may be able to demux the audio and video streams, then convert them to something more sensible using super.
