View Full Version : Iaudio 5 problems
Help! Suddenly, yesterday my I5 went mad! I can no longer play my mp3-songs, when i hit play button the I5 restarts. In the menu, i can only go in one direction, i cant reach sublevels or controls, and ther are som new menus with asian-signs. The radio still works. SOMBODY COME WITH A SUGGESTION FOR THOSE PROBLEMS!!! (when it works the I5 is great (battery time is a little bit of dissapointment))
Itīs working! I reinstalled the firmware (found here -nothing at the official Cowon/jetaudio/iaudio-sites BAD). I think the problem occured when I disconnected the player and not closed Jetshell before I did. : )
What are you getting for battery life? I've been ogling over this freakin player for so long it doesn't really matter to me anymore, but it'd be interesting to know.
I havent measured properly yet. I use Duracell M3 (their best) and i think i get something between 12-16 hours. I have put all display functions at a minimum, but i have 256 kbs mp3 and use quit a lot of soundeffects. I also use larger earphones.
More problems!!!
I thought everything was ok after i reinstalled the firmeware and formatted the memory. BUT suddenly the problem is back and worse - the player "locks" it self in a restart mode. It starts, stops and restarts all the time. To stop the player i have to take out the battery! No answer from Iaudio support - are they existing?
Help me:
Have anybody else experienced similar problems?
Any idea of solution?
or should I try to replce it for a new player or a different brand?
I have reformat the player and reistalled the firmeware again (korean 1.10). Now its working again, but I think it will mess up like it did before. I finally got contact with the Swedish iaudio support - they told me that a european (western) firmware will be released this week (hopefully). I hope this will solve my problems or I will try to replace the player...
ahh software on this site solved the prob! :)
