Like I have some "video" files in this one folder and I don't want that folder to appear in the MOVIE category. So if I want to watch it I would have to just go in the browser only.

Gee, why would you want to do that? [devil]

Some R-rated movies I don't want my children to see.

If possible, how would I just put a password lock on it? lol

Help me out please...

Lol shut up.....

What's the point of a Browser then? when you can just go in the categories.

The Browser shows all files on the A2, even those that are not supported. It's also what you use to transfer from another device using USB-Host.

Nevertheless, I agree with killabean that the browser function is not as useful as it could be.

Password protection would be nice [toungue] but here are some other things I would consider more important:

- display file information (at least FILE SIZE!)
- move files from one folder to another
- move or copy files TO another device
- rename files (even if it means using a crappy input method like selecting each letter from a list - kinda like the system used by console games)
- faster USB-HOST (I know, I know, this has been talked about ad nauseam but it's still high on my wishlist!)

Password protection would be awesome. Could someone run this by eXity or one of those Cowon Makers. XD

Nobody here is associated with Cowon in any official capacity, killabean. Why not run it by them yourself? :)

While you can't hide a folder, it occurred to me that you could try getting away with giving it an unassuming name such as "SYSTEM" or "FIRMWARE" and sticking the movies that you wanted off-limits in there.

Or you could rename the extension to something unusable. Rename it back when you want to see it.

^That too, though it doesn't work if he wants to be able to view the files and just doesn't want others knowing they're there.

Make a subfolder in a subfolder in a subfolder in a subfolder...
put boring files in all the subfolders and your "sensitive" movies in the bottom one (giving them of course boring names as well)

Then just hope that whoever is nosing around in your A2 will get bored and frustrated before hitting the "goodies".

Or, never let anyone play with your A2 without keeping an eye on it!

What you need is two A2s, one for normal stuff that you show to people, and one for porn that you keep hidden under the bed, or in that hiding place under the floorboards..

Or you could just take out the hard disk and carry it about with you, and when you feel in the mood for watching your stuff, hey presto!, a quick three hours of delicate work with a screwdriver, the disk's back in and you're off![toungue]

A Zen Vision M lets you lock files if I remember, but its screen is tiny so you'd need good eyesight to pick up all the detail.

I have a dumb idea, how about a disk-on-key of 1Gb with the porn on it and the USB-host to transfer it when you want to view it...
